Harry has had a rough week. We started out he week at grandma and grandpa's for a funeral. Then on Tuesday he was running a 102 temp. I watched him all night. he woke up during the night crying and that's not Harry. He is a happy baby unless something is wrong. I continued to take his temp and it never went below 100. I got a appointment with his new pedi and she was wonderful. She could find no reason for him to be running such a high temp. She decided to get some labs drawn which was the most awful thing for Harry. He was a little pin cushen when they were done. They poked him 2 times in the arm, once in the foot and 4 times in the heel. And oh did he scream. I never want to here my baby cry like that again. It's so hard to be the mommy and be so helpless. He looked at me like why are they doing this to me and all i could do was tell him that i loved him and pray it was over soon. He also had to give a urine sample and they were unable to get it when they cathed him so they taped a bag on him and put his diaper back on in hopes he would pee while they were poking him. Thank God he did pee. I probably should of mentioned that he was dehydarated and thats why they had such a hard time getting blood.
Well the urine test showed that he had 1+ bacteria in his urine so he has a UTI. I'm still waiting for the rest of his lab work to come back and probably wont get it until Monday now since the clinic is closed tomorrow due to it being a holiday weekend. He cries when he pees and now he has diarhea to top it all off. I just hope he does not end up with a butt rash, too.
